Zincofer XT Tablet is used to prevent and treat the low levels of folic acid, zinc, and iron in blood during certain health conditions (e.g., anaemia, pregnancy, low diet, surgery recovery). It helps the body make more red blood cells which carry out more oxygenated blood to other tissues of the body. Also, it strengthens body's immune (defence) system and helps in cell growth, division, breakdown of carbohydrates, wound healing, and proper metabolism of iron. It may cause common side effects such as diarrhoea, constipation, and upset stomach. Before taking this medicine, you should tell your doctor if you are allergic to any of its components or if you are pregnant/breastfeeding, and about all the medications you are taking and pre-existing medical conditions.
