This medicine stops the growth of bacteria and thereby helps reduce various bacterial infections like lung, skin, soft tissue, urinary tract, genital tract, heart valves, spine, brain, abdomen and blood infections. It helps by inhibiting the bacterial cell synthesis and thereby helps fight infection-causing bacteria. This medicine is not effective for treating viral infections.
