Smeto 2%W/W Cream is used for the topical treatment of interdigital tinea pedis (Athlete's foot) in immunocompetent patients 12 years of age and older, caused by: Trichophyton rubrum, Epidermophyton floccosum and Trichophyton mentagrophytes. Besides this, it is also used to treat other fungal skin infections. It contains Sertaconazole, which kills the fungi. In some cases, it may cause side effects such as burning, itching, redness, stinging, and dryness on your skin where it is applied. Before using this medicine, you should tell your doctor if you are allergic to any of its components or if you are pregnant/breastfeeding, and about all the medications you are taking and pre-existing medical conditions.
