Lupisit-GM 2/1000 Tablet is an antidiabetic medicine used to treat type II diabetes. It contains Metformin (biguanides), which works by reducing the sugar production by cells in the liver and delays sugar absorption from the intestine. Sitagliptin (dipeptidyl peptidase-4 inhibitor) works by increasing the amounts of certain natural substances that lower blood sugar when it is high. Glimepiride (sulfonylureas) works by stimulating beta cells in the pancreas that produce insulin, which helps to remove sugar from the blood.
