GTN Sorbitrate-CR 2.6 Tablet is used to prevent angina attacks (chest pain) and in the treatment of angina. It contains Nitroglycerin, which works by expanding blood vessels (veins and arteries). This boosts the blood supply to your heart, allowing more oxygen to reach your heart muscles and reducing chest pain. As a result, it reduces heart workload and prevents attacks of angina. Sometimes, you may experience side effects such as dry mouth, headache, blurred vision, insomnia, tingling, and prickling sensations. Before taking this medicine, you should tell your doctor if you are allergic to any of its components or if you are pregnant/breastfeeding, and about all the medications you are taking and pre-existing medical conditions.
