It also increases the body's response to insulin, a natural substance that controls the amount of glucose in the blood. Thereby, it helps control the amount of glucose (sugar) in the blood. In some cases, it may cause side effects like nausea, vomiting, diarrhoea, abdominal pain, and loss of appetite.
